Living in a time where food is mainly seen as a way to nourish the senses we seem to have forgotten that we are built from the things we put into our mouths. In Ayurveda, we recognize this and see food as the main building block of our physical body. We believe that everything we eat transforms into our bodily tissues (or “Dhātus ” in Sanskrit).

Meaning that by the end of the day we become what we eat. Therefore eating nourishing organic foods is highly recommended to stay healthy. Yet even more important is the ability to digest our food properly. It is said in Ayurveda that only when your digestion is healthy, you can become healthy.
