10 Oct. Morning Rituals Workshop

Start your day well with Ayurveda

Replacing unhealthy habits with healthy habits is what Ayurveda is all about. It’s a way of living in which you aim to stay in balance by eating well, moving well and of course starting your day well. But how can you start your day in the best way possible? How can you adapt your lifestyle according to your needs?

This workshop will help you with creating your new morning ritual. It will give you suggestions on how to make wise decisions on a daily basis. It will also help you with adapting your morning routine according to your mind-body type (Dosha) and puts in perspective the role of the seasons. Therefore it is an afternoon full of self-care in which you will be guided to start your day well with Ayurveda.

The importance of a healthy morning routine

A daily routine (called ‘Dinacharya’ in Ayurveda) is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. Because it is the actions you’ve taken in the past that determine who you are right now. Meaning that if you start your day well, day by day, you can determine your overall state of well being.

Want to take responsibility for your own health? Then this is the workshop for you.

"Stay balanced at all times"

What will you learn?

After being introduced to the basic principles of Ayurveda you will learn how to make decisions on a daily basis. We will together explore the answers to daily questions you might have, like: Shall I have cereal for breakfast or oats? Do I need to use warm sesame oil as a body lotion or will I benefit more from dry brushing today? What time should you wake up? And what kind of exercise suits me best? All questions that from an Ayurvedic perspective unfortunately can’t be answered with one single answer. Because in Ayurveda we don’t believe in a ‘one-pill-fits-all’ solution.

Nevertheless, this workshop will give you guidance on how to make these daily decisions. We do this by following the ancient text of Ayurveda. However, since modern life is different from 6000 years ago (when the text was written) you will get modern suggestions as well.

We will discuss:

  • The roots of Ayurveda and what it means in modern life

  • Principle of Agni and Ama in Ayurveda

  • The Doshas in the seasons

  • Suggestions for a healthy morning routine based on the old scriptures

  • Ayurveda self-care tips
